Why is Taiwan’s abortion rate one of the highest in the world?

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under taiwan culture | 4 Comments »

I’ve been reading around the internet and it seems that a culture that often calls itself traditional and conservative, when compared to Western culture, would have a lower abortion rate than the West?

Can you specify the data source you’re referring to? Cuz the abortion rate in Taiwan seems relatively low compared to other countries here: http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/policy/abortion/wrjp334pd.html
Still, there are ppl answering blindly without even questioning the validity of the statement. Sad.

Hope it’d be resourceful for those are traveling to Taiwan to take a glimpse at the island first as well as people who wanna learn about Taiwanese culture. It also would be a listening practice for lnter-mediate Chinese learners. I hope you understand what I said without having to look at the English subtitles. Jia1 You2 Ba5! :)
